TOWN OF CLAY LEGAL NOTICES FOR THE NOVEMBER 4, 2026 TOWN BOARD MEETING 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on November 4, 2026, commencing at 7:35 P.M., local time, to consider the adoption of the proposed 2027 Special Districts Budget for the Town of Clay. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on November 4, 2026, commencing at 7:38 P.M., local time, to consider the adoption of the proposed 2027 Fire Protection Budget for the Town of Clay. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on November 4, 2026, commencing at 7:41 P.M., local time, to consider the adoption of the proposed 2027 Uniform Water Budget for the Town of Clay. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on November 4, 2026, commencing at 7:44 P.M., local time, to consider the adoption of the proposed 2027 Preliminary Budget for the Town of Clay as the adopted budget. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on November 4, 2026, commencing at 7:47 P.M., local time, to consider the application of Town Board Case #1265: TOCCO VILLAGGIO PDD AMENDMENT, for a Zone Change from RA-100 Residential Agricultural District to PDD Planned Development District on land located at 5509 State Route 31, Tax Map No. 051.-01-01.0, to allow for modification of the existing Tocco Villagio Planned Development District (PDD) to allow mixed use per recommendation of the Onondaga County Planning Board. The property consists of +/- .54 acres of land. Parcels already included in Tocco Villagio PDD zoning are State Route 31, Tax Map No. 051.-01-02.1, Tax Map No. 051.-01-02.4, Tax Map No. 051.-02-01.0. All parcels combined consist of +/- 40.62 acres of land. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on November 4, 2026, commencing at 7:50 P.M., local time, to consider the application of Town Board Case #1267: WETZEL BESS A & B/CARSON POWER, LLC., for a Special Permit pursuant to Chapter 209 to allow for a Tier Three Battery Energy Storage System on land located at 7846 Goguen Drive, Tax Map No. 087.-01-53.0 & Goguen Drive, Tax Map No. 087.-01-08.2, consisting of +/- 2.65 acres of land. The property is located in the I-1 Industrial Zoning District. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.

Please note: The Town Hall offices and Highway Department will be closed on Tuesday, November 3rd for Election Day, as well as Wednesday, November 11th in honor of Veteran's Day and Thursday, November 26th and Friday November 27th in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you.

URGENT NOTICE - FRAUDULENT INVOICES

URGENT NOTICE TO RESIDENTS: FRAUDULENT INVOICES

The Town has been made aware of fraudulent invoices being sent to Zoning Board/Planning Board and Town Board applicants requesting payment by wire transfer.

Please be advised that these invoices are NOT from the Town. Residents are urged to use caution and DO NOT PAY any invoice requesting payment by wire transfer. These requests are fraudulent and should be disregarded.

Only e-mail addresses with the domain @townofclayny.gov are legitimate.

If you receive a suspicious invoice or payment request claiming to be from the Town, please verify its legitimacy directly by calling the Supervisor's Office at 315-652-3800 x162. Thank you for your attention and cooperation in helping protect our community from fraud.

Planning Board Hearing: Amazon.com, Inc. - POSTPONED

PLANNING BOARD HEARINGS: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Case #2026-051, an AMENDED SITE PLAN application submitted by Amazon.com, Inc., HAS BEEN POSTPONED from the October 14, 2026 Planning Board meeting.  Amazon is considering the most efficient location and layout of the Prime Air Drone Delivery Center.

Rescheduled public hearing date will be December 9, 2026.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing on October 19, 2026, commencing at 7:47 P.M., local time, to consider LOCAL LAW NO. 11 OF THE YEAR 2026 pursuant to Section 487 of the Real Property Tax Law (RPTL) to “opt out” of allowing real property tax exemptions pursuant to Section 487 of the PRTL and declare Battery Energy Storage Systems fully taxable in the Town of Clay. At such time all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard.
