Town of Clay reduces burden on tax base by securing grants

The Town of Clay actively pursues grant funding whenever possible, to move the community forward while saving taxpayers thousands of dollars. We are proud recipients of the following, most recent support:

  • Funding provided by Dormitory Authority State of New York (DASNY)
    • Three Rivers – Purchase of (3) Gazebos and Portable Restroom Trailer: Grant amount: $70,000
    • Clay Park Central – All-inclusive Playground: Grant amount: $75,000
    • Clay Park Central Restroom – Grant amount: $75,000
    • Town of Clay Purchase of a Street Sweeper – Grant amount: $200,000
    • Project Green Site – Greenhouse & Solar Array System: Grant amount: $50,000
    • Project Green Site – Education Center: Grant amount: $125,000
  • Funding provided by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC):
    • Town of Clay Purchase of a Clean Vehicle – Reimbursement amount: $5,000
    • Town of Clay Purchase of (2) EV Charging Stations – Reimbursement amount: $4,000
  • Funding provided by NYS Department of State:
    • Brownfield Environmental Restoration Program – Grant amount: $2.9 million
    • Three Rivers – BOA Pre-development Project – Grant amount: $245,500
  • Funding provided by NYSERDA:
    • Town-wide LED Lighting Change – Reimbursement amount: $150,000
  • Ongoing funding provided by Onondaga County Development (e.g. White Pine Commerce Park)
